Beer Tastings and Christmas Markets

Beer Tastings and Christmas Markets

Last weekend for Thanksgiving we had a few exciting things on the agenda, Christmas markets and beer. We went to my favorite, the Esslingen Christmas Market, on Friday and then did a beer tasting at an Irish Pub on Saturday. The beer tasting wasn't a tasting so much as drinking 5 different beers, all good by the way!

My New Pastime, Going To A German Swimming Pool

My New Pastime, Going To A German Swimming Pool

Christmas is in the air here in Stuttgart. A mini Christmas market opens in early November and then becomes part of the large Christmas market that opens the end of November and runs up until Christmas (usually the 23rd to 24th). We went last night and I brought my camera along to snag some night shots. I also took a few photos of the Schlossplatz area, where the market is held. There is a small ice rink, Christmas music, and of course gluhwein.
