There are so many cute towns in Germany and especially so in Southern Germany. In my area there are two in particular that I am completely in love with. If I could just move to one of these towns and live forever I would do it in a heartbeat! One is Tübingen and the other is Esslingen. Both of which sit along the Neckar river, and both are just about as picturesque as it gets when it comes to Southern Germany. Timber homes, buildings dating back hundreds of years and cobblestone pedestrian streets lined with shops and restaurants are just a few of the things that give these towns their unique character.

I was preparing for a photo shoot last week and did a walk around in Esslingen to scout out locations. Here are photos from that day. Enjoy!

Nice pics – but Tuebingen and Esslingen are situated along the river Neckar, not the Rhine!

Thank you! Second time I’ve done that! I had Neckar in my mind, but for some reason really enjoy writing Rhine ; ). Thanks for the correction. Glad you like the photos.

If you boerd one day, take one of the "midnight tours" through the city. They tell you there the ghost stories of Post Michel and others in Esslingen =)
