In Germany, you can almost always determine what time of year it is based solely on what food is in season. We just got over the Spargel season, and while remnants remain from the wonderful white spargel (white asparagus) we have now moved on to strawberry season.

In honor of this wonderful fruit, there are strawberry festivals all over Germany right now. One close by the Stuttgart area is the Esslingen Strawberry Festival. It’s gathered a lot of popularity over the years so expect crowds of people to take over for it. But, if you don’t mind the crowds then you should make your way there to experience all that is strawberry. Click on the links below to see my experience from last year.
